    GUIDE

Questions Digital Leaders Should Regularly Ask to Assess and Improve their Business's Performance

Have you ever wondered what other digital leaders focus their time and attention on, or what questions keep them up at night? The Digital Shelf Insitute (DSI) has done the legwork by asking them for you.

We understand that operational silos are one of the biggest challenges of being a digital leader, and we want to help break them down. We consulted with fellow digital leaders to create a list of essential questions to regularly ask yourself to improve business performance.

    Who is This Guide For?

Each section of this guide comprises two sets of questions for leaders at the director level and those at the vice president (VP) or C-suite level, respectively.

At the leadership level, directors and C-suite-level executives should consider these questions to ensure optimal performance from their teams and operations.

These questions are also designed to support teams reporting to directors, VPs, and C-suite-level leaders to accelerate the learning curve in their organizations.

When Should Leaders Ask These Questions?

Organizational goals and priorities change over time, so it’s important for leaders to ask these questions throughout the year and in the following situations:

    • One-to-one meetings with direct reports and bosses
    • Departmental budget and resource allocation meetings
    • Cross-functional department meetings
    • Conversations or evaluations with outside vendors or agency partners
    • Background prep work meetings for investor relations events
    • Performance review meetings

Where Can I Submit My Questions?

Do you have questions that we should add to this list? Please submit them here.
